Attacked

Attacked: Breaking The Silence, Enacting Change is aimed to highlight personal accounts of individuals who have been directly affected by intolerance, racism, and sexism on Saint Joseph’s University’s campus as a means to raise awareness and promote change. Although each member of our community has a different story, this platform creates a unified conversation on hate based attacks that happen right here on Hawk Hill.

With this project, our goal is to spark a conversation on the state of our campus community, and what we should be doing to make Saint Joe’s a more inclusive, understanding and safe place for everyone. Through this medium we hope to enact necessary change and give a voice to the voiceless.

We want this project to draw attention to the issue of those who have felt marginalized and discriminated against within the SJU community and in addressing the issue, finding ways to solve it.

Please see our stories on Attacked:Breaking The Silence, Enacting Change and join us in sharing your story using the #StartTalkingSJU hashtag.
